Taplow Lyre
This lyre is based on the Taplow lyre remains with a joint head inset into the top of the lyre arms, the mounts are handmade, cast in bronze, with a cuttlefish bone and garnet eye, 24 carat gold plated. This model comes with soundboard pins like the Sutton Hoo model and lyre playing strap tuning keys and case.The fittings are boxwood on this lyre with gut strings standard. £2250

Sutton Hoo Lyre
This is the Lyre for me than started my interest, growing up living in London numerous visits to the British Museum...
Made of scottish sycamore in this example shown, with gold plated bronze mounts, and hand made soundboard tacks, boxwood pegs and bridge.
The strings are natural Gut (I can also fit Aquilla Nylgut strings)
The waiting list for these is longer than som eof my other instruments, 18 months
